Logansport Speech Team announces 2019 state and national qualifiers

The Logansport High School Speech Team is proud to announce that five students have qualified for the 2019 National Speech Tournament to be held in Dallas, Texas.

Qualifying students are:
Josiah Richey: Humorous Interp and Program Oral Interpretation. Students are allowed only one National entry, so he has chosen POI. Richey was also chosen as the Hoosier Heartland District Student of the Year.

Luke Fincher: International Extemporaneous

Jessica Gross: Program Oral Interpretation

Caleb Sholty: Dramatic Interpretation

Drew Johannes: Dramatic Interpretation Tournament Champion

The team also celebrates the following alternates: Stefanie Maxson, 2nd alternate in US Extemp; Courteney Biggs, 2nd alternate in International Extemp; Caleb Sholty, 2nd alternate in Original Oratory; Claire Graham, 2nd alternate in Dramatic Interpretation.

Logansport High School Speech Team 2019 State Qualifiers and Coaches

The team will be sending nine students competing in 11 events to State on Saturday, March 9. These students include: Stefanie Maxson, Braxton Howard, Danyelle Robertson, Jessica Gross, Emilie Edwards, Claire Graham, Josiah Richey, Caleb Sholty and Drew Johannes.

The team is coached by Jessica Kranz, Joyce Pasel and Michelle Dials.
