Public invited to Huston Park planning workshop on April 3, 2019

Last Updated on April 7, 2019 by cassnetwork

Logansport Parks & Recreation Department is inviting the public to attend a workshop that will focus on the next phase of development for Huston Park. It will take place on Wednesday, April 3 from 6-8 p.m. at the Penman Building at 1701 Dividend Dr., across the street from Huston Park.

Participants will see the original plans for Huston Park, which included a soccer & football complex, an amphitheater, a softball complex, and more parking. Those were the original ideas for the land in 2008 before it became the well-used park that it is today. After 5 years of public use, the public may have different ideas about these proposed plans, and the Logansport Parks & Recreation Department is interested in hearing those ideas.

Discussion will be conducted by the lead designer of Huston Park, Eric Ernstberger, of Rundell, Ernstberger Associates in Indianapolis. Mr. Ernstberger will provide all participants an opportunity to share their ideas and dreams for the future of Huston Park.

Those interested should register to help the parks department plan accordingly. Contact the Logansport Park & Recreation Office at 574-753-7388 or Email: vward@cityoflogansport.org Those with additional questions may also contact the Logansport Park & Recreation office for further information.
