LMU working to restore electricity in several areas following early morning storms

UPDATE: As of 8:45 a.m., LMU reports that there are four poles down on Hwy 24 and that it will likely take longer than the original estimate of 5-6 hours to restore electricity in that area.

ORIGINAL POST: As of around 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2019, Logansport Municipal Utilities was aware of and working on the following issues:

From France Park west to Lake Cicott area, they expect it to take about 5-6 hours to restore power, as there are 2 poles down in the Lake Cicott area.

On the south side of Logansport near Day Street there is a pole down and a large tree down.

There are multiple outages off SR 17 and SR 25 north of Logansport.

If you’re in one of those areas they are aware and working on the outages.

If you are an LMU customer in another area without power, you can report it to LMU by calling (574) 753-6231 during regular business hours or (574) 753-6236 after hours.
