Craig Handy (R – Logansport) is looking to become the next Cass County Clerk. “I have served in the Cass County Clerk’s Office for the past four and a half years, including the leading the voter registration effort for two and a half years,” Handy said. “Now, I am ready and prepared to serve Cass County as the next clerk.”

Handy is a graduate of Taylor University, with a degree in Math Education, and prior to working in the Clerk’s Office, was an educator for 19 years, in Logansport, at Ivy Tech, and in Florida, and Puerto Rico.

“Through my experience in the Clerk’s Office and in education, I have been able to develop strong communication and people skills, which have also helped prepare me for the roll of Cass County Clerk.” Handy added. “In addition, I am familiar with the computer software that is utilized by the Clerk’s Office and the Court Staff.”

Handy says it would be his goal to continue to ensure the transparency and integrity that have been the hallmark of the Cass County Clerk’s office under the leadership of Clerk Beth Liming. “Her leadership in the Clerk’s Office has been invaluable,” Handy said. “You will not find a better County Clerk in the entire state of Indiana. Her leadership and dedication to the citizens of Cass County is to be strongly commended.”

Handy plans to file for Cass County Clerk on the Republican ticket on January 8, 2020, which is the first date to file for the May primary.
