An active supporter of the Logansport veterans community is recognized today with a special city honor.
Dawn Fisher was named Citizen of the Week by Mayor Dave Kitchell for her contributions in support of veterans.
“There are many people behind the scenes who support veterans and veteran organizations, and Dawn symbolizes the best among us who annually give their time and resources to ensure a veteran can be part of a ceremony, enjoy fellowship with other veterans or raise funding for veteran-related causes. At a time when it is too easy to take the men and women of our armed forces for granted, Dawn remembers those who have paid the debt of freedom forward for us.”
Fisher is the owner of Fisher Funeral Chapels.
The Citizen of the Week is presented by the Mayor’s Office and recognizes Logansport natives, residents or former residents for their contributions. Recipients receive a certificate from the Mayor’s Office and a $20 gift certificate to a local restaurant.
