“We were quick to jump on board when we heard about this project,” says Mitesh Patel, director of Sulai Hospitality. “We have sister properties in Wabash and Marion, so we’re familiar with the market and we were not going to let anything keep us from being a part of this project.”

The new hotel will feature an indoor swimming pool, fitness center, meeting room, and board room as well as free hot breakfast, free Wi-Fi, and mobile-centric features that allow guests to control the thermostat, lights, and television from their phones. Average rates will be $115-$120 a night. Construction should be complete by Spring 2022.

““The COVID-19 virus gave us pause and has impacted all aspects of the hospitality industry,” Patel admits. “The construction and development pieces are no exception. But the City of Logansport has really helped us feel comfortable about moving forward.”

The Logansport/Cass County Chamber of Commerce has presented Sulai Hospitality with several funding options to help assist with development of the project. In the coming months a formal presentation will be provided to the Logansport Redevelopment Commission for its consideration.

“Based on the development plans and hotel studies we have conducted, I am fully supportive of a Hampton Inn by Hilton coming to this east end location,” said Bill Cuppy, President of the Logansport/Cass County Chamber of Commerce.

The Junction is being developed by Park Development, LLC, owner of 3900 E Market Street LLC, a Chicago-based real-estate developer. The new open-air retail center will soon replace most of what is left of the original Logansport Mall. Design plans call for nearly 144,000 square feet of retail space. Planet Fitness, Dunham’s Sports, and Dollar Tree have already signed on as tenants. Those interested in learning more about leasing options, can reach Veritas Realty at (317) 472-1800.
