Logansport Memorial physicians honored during National Doctors Day

Last Updated on March 29, 2021 by Logansport Memorial Hospital

On March 30, hospitals and medical offices around the country celebrate National Doctors Day by paying
tribute to the physicians that impact our lives. Through their actions, whether it be an encouraging word, kind
bedside gesture, or a life-saving procedure, doctors make a difference each and every day.

At Logansport Memorial Hospital (LMH), we have a network of providers who bring our “Building Better Health”
tagline to life with the care they provide to the patients we serve. Among that network are 25 doctors who
provide primary and specialty care at the highest standards of quality. On this special day of recognition for the
profession they chose, we celebrate them for choosing Logansport Memorial as the place to practice medicine
and share their services with our community.

To honor the Logansport Memorial medical staff, including physicians who are part of our network and other
affiliated physicians with specialty privileges who practice here, LMH is hosting a luncheon for the doctors to
receive a special gift and enjoy some fellowship with their peers. Logansport Memorial executive leaders also
attend to share their gratitude for the leadership and service that our physicians provide across the hospital.

Perry Gay, President and CEO of Logansport Memorial Hospital

LMH President and CEO Perry Gay commented, “Our community is so fortunate to have the caliber and quality of physicians who have chosen and preferred our rural way of life as they practice medicine. We have highly educated men and women from all across the world who have settled at Logansport Memorial Hospital, to offer their knowledge and expertise for the benefit of our patients. Getting to know their patients on a personal level is important to all of our providers, as they seek to deliver exceptional care that improves health, cultivates wellness, and leads to the best possible quality of life. This national observance of Doctors Day gives us
another opportunity to say thank you and to honor these contributions from our physicians to our patients.”

Dr. Ben Anderson, LMH Hospitalist and the 2021 Chief of Staff for the Logansport Memorial Physician Network, also shared what he values in working at LMH as one of our celebrated physicians. “I am originally
from Carroll County, and grew up watching my father care for patients in a rural setting. I saw firsthand the
kinds of relationships that were built on trust and personalized care, and I knew that I also wanted to practice in
a rural, community hospital when I chose to go into medicine.”

Dr. Ben Anderson

Dr. Anderson went on to say, “I consider it a great privilege to be a part of the community in which I practice, and I know my colleagues here at LMH feel the same. It has been a very trying year for people across all walks of life, but I have been very proud to work alongside so many dedicated physicians who have worked tirelessly
to keep our community safe and healthy during this pandemic.”

Please join us in thanking our doctors this Doctors Day for all that they do throughout our hospital and our community.
