If you are currently pregnant, or already a parent, and you are still in your teenage years, you are not alone. Pregnancy and parenthood are difficult journeys to navigate for anyone, but they present unique challenges for teenagers and young adults.
A new support group at Logansport Memorial Hospital will focus on helping pregnant teens and teen parents connect with one another for encouragement and friendship during this shared experience. The support group will offer mentorship, education, and community resources for any additional assistance you might need at any point throughout the pregnancy and/or parenthood journey.
Support group meetings are led by OB Nurse Practitioner Rachel Emery from the LMPN Women’s Health Center. She will discuss topics like the physical changes you experience during pregnancy, childbirth, your mental health during and after pregnancy, childcare challenges, and more. Any topics that you want to discuss with the group can be shared and planned with Rachel anytime.
