Why did you decide to run for this office?
I’ve been an RN for 30 years, and recently retired. Helping people and their families in the most difficult of times has been my passion and life’s work, and I want to continue to do exactly that for my community.
What would you like voters to know about you?
I worked at Methodist Hospital and IU Health for the majority of my career. As an RN, my critical thinking skills, and problem solving skills, along with my leadership experience, will serve me well in this position. In addition to being an RN, I’m married to my husband, Mike White, who’s a teacher and assistant football coach at Logansport HS. We have 5 sons and 10 grandchildren. Number 11 is coming at Christmas time.
What are the most important issues related to the office you are seeking?
Assisting the Eel Township Trustee to provide help and education to those in need, here in our community.
What are your top priorities for action if elected?
Making sure that the taxpayers’ money is used in the most efficient way.
What’s your vision for the community and what role does the office you are seeking play in achieving it?
My greatest hope is for our community to continue to move forward together. The Trustees’ office can play an important role in this by giving those in need a hand up through assistance when need is warranted, and education regarding finances and community resources available to them.
