Logansport Memorial Hospital conducting its Community Health Needs Assessment beginning April 13, 2022

Last Updated on April 12, 2022 by Logansport Memorial Hospital

Logansport Memorial Hospital is preparing to begin the development of a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) for Cass County. The purpose of this assessment is to identify major health problems, gaps in services and other factors which may contribute to a less than optimal health status for residents of our community. All hospitals are required by federal regulation to conduct a CHNA at least once every three years.

One of the first steps in the assessment process is a phone survey of the community. Logansport Memorial Hospital has contracted with Professional Research Consultants (PRC) to conduct the phone calls with randomly selected residents. The phone survey will begin this week, on Wednesday, April 13, 2022.

The complete telephone survey lasts approximately 20-25 minutes. Residents are encouraged to participate. Responses to the survey are confidential and will help guide action steps in addressing the health needs of the Cass County community.

“The Community Health Needs Assessment is a valuable tool in helping Logansport Memorial Hospital identify the top health needs in Cass County,” comments Vicki Byrd, Vice-President of Planning and Development.

“The survey results provide data that help us work with collaborative community partners to implement new or build upon ongoing programs in Cass County that directly address these identified needs. We look forward to the impact that can be made from this survey by working together toward Building Better Health.”

A full report on the findings and actions will be released to the public by the end of 2022. To learn more about the Community Health Needs Assessment, and to see results from past assessments, visit
