Adah L. Selvio, 95, Logansport, passed away at the home of her daughter on Thursday, October 13, 2022.
Born in Tippecanoe County on November 11, 1926, she was the daughter of Jacob and Josie Decker Allison.
On June 19, 1954, in Logansport, she was married to Joseph R. Selvio, who preceded her in death January 2, 2006.
Adah was the ‘face’ of Joe’s Truck and Auto at the corner of 17th Street and Woodlawn Avenue. She was always there, helping the customers, especially, pumping their gasoline.
An avid walker, she also enjoyed crocheting and reading. Adah was also a sports fan of Indiana University, Notre Dame, the Chicago Cubs and was very involved in her grandchildren and great grandchildren’s sports activities and events.
She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church.
Surviving are son, Larry (Tricia) Selvio, Fort Wayne; daughter, Carol (John) McIntire, Logansport; grandchildren, Jeremy (Kristen) Selvio, Crystal (Ben) Ashby, Gabrielle (Sean) Thomas, Bailey (Justin) Scott, Brigitte O’Connell and Rachel (Raul) Cruz. Also surviving are great grandchildren, Haley, Jameson, Estella, Giavonna, Ethan, Emma and Mela.
She was preceded in death by great grandson, Garth Allen Thomas; sisters, Belva Cadwallader and Marie Logsdon; and brother, Russell Allison.
Visitation will be on Sunday, October 16th, from 1:00-4:00 p.m., at Kroeger Funeral Home, with the Rosary recited at 4:00 p.m. Visitation will also be on Monday, from 9:30-10:30 a.m., at the funeral home.
The Christian Burial Mass will be on Monday, October 17, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., at All Saints Catholic Church, with Fr. Gustavo Lopez officiating.
Interment will follow in the Mount Calvary section of Mount Hope Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Garth Allen Thomas Pioneer Youth Sports Fund or the Chad Lambert Youth Athletic Fund, both at Logansport Savings Bank, 723 E. Broadway, Logansport, 46947.
