🟡Cass County moved back to yellow travel watch as of noon Saturday, Dec. 24. The county had been under orange travel watch as of 8:15 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 23.

Update from Cass County EMA as of 3:08 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22:

  • Flash freeze with cold front is expected at 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22.
  • Rapid temperature drop (23 with windchill at 3 p.m., -18 by 9 p.m., -33 by 6 a.m. Friday)
  • Overnight whiteout conditions due to blowing snow
  • Wind gusts of 40 mph Thursday night, expected to increase to 47 mph on Friday, Dec. 23.
