David L Zimmerman, 51, of Logansport, was surrounded by his family when he passed away on Friday, May 12, 2023, at Franciscan Health in Greenwood.
Born April 22, 1972, in Logansport, he was the son of Phillip Eugene and Zetta (Cain) Zimmerman.
Dave was a 1990 graduate of Lewis Cass High School. Dave was a veteran of Operation Desert Storm, serving as a member of the United States Army.
On December 31, 2011, at Spencer Park, he was married to Teresa (Miller) Zimmerman.
Dave worked in manufacturing as plant manager for Myers Spring.
A man who loved God, his family, and his country, Dave attended Spring Creek Christian Church. He was passionate about Jeeps -being a member of several different Jeep clubs – Dave spent a lot of time off-roading. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and being outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa Zimmerman; his father; Phillip Zimmerman; children, Hope (Erik) Contreras, and Jasmine Zimmerman; brothers, Robert (Beth Hershberger) Zimmerman, Phillip (Rinita) Zimmerman; sister, Patricia (Bryon Stephens) Rozzi; two grandbabies, Oliver Lee “Big O” and Emerson Rose “Emy”; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Zetta Zimmerman.
A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday. May 15 in Fisher Funeral Chapel.
A Funeral Service celebrating Dave’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 16 in the funeral chapel with Pastor Jeffrey Hayes officiating.
Burial, with full military honors, will be in the Spring Creek Cemetery.
