Debra L. Artrip, 69, Lake Cicott, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 1, 2023, in Logansport. 

Born Dec. 26, 1953, in Lafayette, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Betty (Orr) Whiteman. Deb was a 1971 graduate of Logansport High School. 

On July 8, 1972, she married the love of her life, Dennis Artrip. In addition to being a wife, mother and grandma, Deb was a hard worker. She started working at RBM, and later worked as a dispatcher for the Cass County Sheriff’s Department. She retired from the Logansport State Hospital, where she had worked in communications. 

Surviving with her husband of 50 years, Dennis; are three children, Stephanie Campbell, of Marion, Tabatha (Bill) Packard and James Artrip (Brittani Prifogle), all of Lake Cicott; her precious grandchildren, Cody Campbell (Grace Zook), Alicia (Larry) Cunningham, McKenzie (Cole) Packard-Ramech, Dalton (Bryanna) Packard, Hunter Packard, Avery Packard, Aiden Packard, Ashton Artrip, Langston Artrip, Brayton Artrip and Adelynn Artrip; one great-grandchild; along with Dalton and Bryanna’s new baby-on-the-way. 

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Cole Campbell, and her siblings, Sandra Kay Watts, Edward Whiteman, Donald Whiteman and Roy Allen Whiteman. 

A funeral service celebrating Debra’s life will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 4, in Fisher Funeral Chapel, with Dawn Fisher officiating. Visitation hours will be prior to the funeral from 4 to 6 p.m. in the funeral chapel.
