Diana K. “Diane” Bagley, 64, Logansport, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 7, 2023, in the Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital surrounded by her loved ones.

Born July 5, 1959, in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Lee and Ruth (Kline) Kasch.

A 1977 graduate of Logansport High School, Diane majored in Elementary Education at Ball State University. Following graduation, Diane taught for one year at Pioneer Elementary. For over 20 years, Diane enjoyed success in the banking world as an assistant manager at Salin Bank & Trust. She could count money faster than anyone. Later, she worked as a correctional officer at the Miami Correctional Facility.

Diane grew up in the former Wheatland Avenue United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Niddee Shrine Guild and the VFW Auxiliary.

She enjoyed bowling, playing the slot machines on the boat and shopping. When she learned she had cancer in 2015, she fought it with the determination of a mother who wanted to see her son graduate from medical school. Not only did she accomplish that against all odds, but she got to dance at his wedding and hold her first grandson, Conrad. She recently celebrated the fact that she was declared cancer-free.

Surviving is her son and daughter-in-law, Brent & Madallyn Bagley; her companion, Doug Oldham; one brother, David Kasch one grandson, Conrad Joseph Bagley; and one nephew, Dane Miller.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Don Kasch; and her grandparents, Mary and Elmer Kline and Joseph and Helen Kasch.

Visitation will be held from 5 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 11 at the at Fisher Funeral Chapel, where a Niddee Shrine Memorial ceremony will be held at 7:30 p.m.

A funeral service celebrating Diane’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 12 in the funeral chapel, with Dawn Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
