The Candidate Debate was held at McHale Performing Arts Center at 6 p.m. Wednesday, October 4, 2023 and was livestreamed and recorded on McHale Performing Arts Center’s Youtube Channel.

ABOUT THE LOGANSPORT MUNICIPAL ELECTION:

The election on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2023 is a municipal election for Logansport residents only. Voters must reside within the corporate limits of the City of Logansport.

(See below for more information about the towns of Royal Center, Onward and Walton.)

All Logansport voters will see their party’s candidates for Logansport mayor, clerk-treasurer and 2 common council at-large seats. There are five city council wards and voters will also see the candidates for their city council ward.

Candidates who are elected will serve a four-year term beginning January 1, 2024.

VOTING INFORMATION

REGISTER TO VOTE: Indiana residents can register to vote by visiting their local county clerk’s office or online at IndianaVoters.com At the website, Hoosiers can also confirm their voter registration, find out who’s on their ballot, contact local election officials, find their polling location, and get information about working the polls. If you are not registered, the deadline is Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2023.

ABSENTEE VOTING: All requests for mail ballots for the 2023 general election must be received by October 26, 2023; request for travel board must be received by noon on November 6, 2023. More info is available on the Cass County Clerk’s website here.

New requirements for absentee voting by mail application took effect July 1, 2023. Per House Enrolled Act 1334, voters will be asked to provide one of the following numbers on an absentee ballot application:

  • Indiana Drivers License Number
  • Indiana Identification Card Number
  • Unique Voter Identification Number
  • Last Four Digits of Social Security Number

OR

  • Provide a copy of a Government-issued Photo ID (driver’s license, BMV ID card, passport, etc.)

NO GENERAL ELECTION IN NOVEMBER 2023 IN ROYAL CENTER, WALTON OR ONWARD
The Cass County Election Board met Friday, August 4, 2023 and passed a resolution stipulating that there are no contested races where there is a Democratic and Republican candidate running for the same office in the small towns of Royal Center, Walton or Onward for the 2023 General Election. Therefore, there will not be elections held in those towns in November 2023. You can view the resolution here.
