Stacia (Staci) L. Wedekind

Last Updated on April 15, 2024 by Rans Funeral Homes

Stacia (Staci) L. Wedekind was born on August 25, 1959, the middle daughter of Robert J. Wedekind and Mary Lou (Marocco Wedekind) Kesling. She passed away on April 11, 2024.

She looked forward to getting a “bear hug” from her Savior, Christ Jesus, as He welcomed her home. Among her favorite Bible verses were, “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.” John 14:1-3

Staci lived most of her life growing up along the Wabash River in Logansport, but enjoyed the Rocky Mountains of Colorado for 16 years prior to returning to the area. She attended St. Joseph’s School and graduated from Logansport High School in 1977.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert J. Wedekind, Mary Lou Kesling, and step-father, Norman G. Kesling, and sister, Cynde Barnes. Survivors include a sister, Shelle Liebner (Reiny Liebner); her pride and joy, nieces and nephews, Mandy Beck-King (Rich King), Heather Jonas (Marcus Jonas), Brad Liebner (Brittany Liebner), Eric Liebner (Julie Liebner), Drew Liebner (Emily Liebner), Vincent, Elliott, and Lilly Beck-King, Carsten and Caleigh Jonas, Kate, Ben, and James Liebner, Sophia and Henry Delcid, Jackson, Owen, and Peyton Liebner, and Lux, Lane, and Lumen Liebner; caring uncles, Louie Marocco and Ed Wedekind (Kathy Wedekind); special cousins, Marsha Fewell (Jerry Fewell) and David Albright (Olivia Albright); and devoted friends, Jane Williams, Ali Williams, and Suzanne Kesling.

Heartfelt appreciation to April Grubb and staff of the Logansport Cancer Care Unit and the compassionate second floor staff of Logansport Memorial Hospital.
