Mark Edward Decker, 64, Logansport, passed away unexpectedly early Tuesday morning, June 25, 2024, at home.

Born July 18, 1959, in Logansport, he was the son of the late Ed and Joan (Dempsey) Decker.  

On August 20, 1977, in Wheatland Avenue United Methodist Church, he was married to Carol (Kelley) Decker.  She preceded him in death December 5, 2009.

A 1977 graduate of Logansport High School, he later earned his Bachelor of Science degree at IWU – Fort Wayne.  Mark had been employed as a sales manager in the automation industry for different manufacturers over the years.

Mark was a member of the Cross~Wind United Methodist Church where he served as the chairperson of the finance board.  Mark was active in the Logansport Great Banquet, always seeking to strengthen his walk with Jesus.  As a young man, he was active in DeMolay and later became active in the Masonic Lodge in Kendallville and had just transferred his membership to Logansport’s Tipton Masonic Lodge.  In his spare time, Mark enjoyed making wooden clocks.

He is survived by his fiancée, Lori Burk; two daughters and sons-in-law, Stephanie and Nolan Vowels, and Michelle and Phil Shaffer; one brother, Roy Decker (Donna); one sister, Cathy Healey; his mother-in-law, Susie Kelley; and several extended family members.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Decker.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. Monday, July 1, 2024, in Fisher Funeral Chapel where Masonic Services will be conducted at 4 p.m.

A funeral service celebrating Mark’s life will follow with Pastor Tim Powers officiating.

Burial, at a later date, will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cross~Wind United Methodist Church in loving memory of Mark.
