Planned closures of Perrysburg Road in July 2024

Update from Cass County Highway Department as of July 15, 2024:

The contractor working for NIPSCO has informed us the first of three planned road closures on Perrysburg Rd is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, July 16, 2024. This closure is on Perrysburg between Meadowview Drive and Meadow Lane. Local traffic will be able to detour using Meadow Lane, Greenhills Drive, and Meadowview Drive. The road should re-open by the end of this week. Further closures will come at a later time.

The following information was shared this morning by Cass County Highway Superintendent Jeff Smith:

Cass County Highway has learned details of the planned road closures in the area of Perrysburg Road and Meadowview Lane connected with construction of a Nipsco facility along their gas transmission line.

The first closure will be on Perrysburg Road just east of Meadowview starting late this week or early next. Local traffic will be able to use a short detour to the north on Meadowview, Green Hills Drive, and Meadow Lane. That closure is expected to last up to one week.

Two other closures will follow as the construction progresses. The second closure will affect Perrysburg between Greenlawn Drive and Meadowview Drive. The third and final closure will close both Meadowview and Perrysburg at the intersection. For both of the latter two road closures, the detour will utilize 300E, 200N, and 250/200E (Davis Road). We have asked for advance notice of the closures so the info can be communicated to the public.

Drivers may notice intermittent delays in the area outside of the main closures, as equipment and supplies are brought into the site.

The entire project is expected to wrap up by early October.
