
Update from Cass County Sheriff’s Department on missing juvenile safely located

On Saturday, July 20, 2024 at approximately 2:09 a.m., Cass County Central Dispatch received a call of a missing/runaway juvenile in the 7000 block of US 24 West. Upon arrival, deputies determined that a 13-year-old child ran out of the residence. Deputies utilized several different resources to include a bloodhound tracking dog and drones. At approximately 8:39 a.m., the child was located sleeping in an unlocked vehicle in the 5000 block of US 24 West. The child was safe and returned to the care of the family.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the following agencies: Logansport Police Department (drone), Fulton County Sheriff’s Office (Drone), Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (K9), Royal Center Fire Department, Georgetown Fire Department, Idaville Fire Department, Cass County Emergency Management Agency, Indiana State Police and Cass County Emergency Medical Service.
