Karen Eileen Conklin, 73, Logansport, was surrounded by her loving family Sunday October 27, 2024, when she passed away at home after battling rheumatoid arthritis for nearly thirty years.
Born May 25, 1951, in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Agnes (Hines) Turner.
On August 27, 1999, in Logansport, she was married to Keith William Conklin. He preceded her in death October 26, 2023.
A homemaker, Karen loved cooking and doing things for others. She would knit beautiful blankets as gifts. She loved the outdoors, especially during the spring when the mushrooms started popping up as well as fishing. Her home was filled with her collections, which included Barbie dolls, Beanie Babies and porcelain dolls. She also enjoyed singing Karaoke and playing Farmville on Facebook.
She is survived by her children: Ronald Hiles, Jr., Ronda Ambrose, Susan (Mark) Baker, and Katrina (Glenn) Overman; two brothers, Thomas Turner and Robert (Kathy) Turner; two sisters, Jeanne Cramer and Kathy Turner; her grandchildren, Braxton, Cameron, Damon, Ty, Jared, Brittany, Chastiti, Brooke, Kaylee, Blake, Justin, Jessie, Steven, Patrick, Justine, Ashley, Dominic, and Kallie; thirty-two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Nancy Jameson; her son-in-law, Steve Ambrose; infant brother, Daniel Turner and sisters, Nancy Conn and Lynette Snay.
A funeral service celebrating Karen’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Nov. 1, in Fisher Funeral Chapel, with Dawn Fisher officiating. Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. prior to the service.
Interment will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery.
