Stanley J. “Stan” Frantz

Stanley J. “Stan” Frantz, age 80, Casa Grande, Arizona, formerly of Logansport, passed away at 8:55 a.m., Thursday, October 3, 2024, in Casa Grande.
Born June 20, 1944, in Cass County, he was the son of Ronald Eddison and Ellen Mae Grant Frantz. He was married to Linda Ann (Stonerock) Frantz on June 6, 1964. She preceded him in death on March 4, 2013.
Stan retired after twenty-seven years as an owner/agent for Northwestern Life Insurance Company in Logansport. Prior to this, Stan taught school in Logansport and Royal Center and had been school principal/administrator at Royal Center and Galveston schools.
He had been active in Logansport Little League, where he was former president of the League. He had also been manager of the Pepsi-Cola team in Babe Ruth, and a former member of the Logansport Elks Lodge.
Stan was an avid golfer and enjoyed many rounds with his family and friends.
When they moved to Casa Grande, Arizona in 1999, Stan returned to being an educator. He entered back into the classroom and taught 4th grade from 1999-2002. He then became the Director of Special Education for Gifted Students. He retired from that position in 2010 to spend more time with his loving wife and spend more time on the golf course. Stan was a proud member of the Sunrise Optimist Club in Casa Grande.
Surviving are his children, Bradley (Cynthia) Frantz, Brian (Lauren) Frantz, Todd (Lisa Marie) Frantz; grandchildren, Robbie Schell, Amanda (Scott) Hall, Denay Galos, Jacob Frantz, Emma Frantz, Alissa Perez and Shaun Frantz; great-granddaughter, Sophia Hall. Also surviving are a brother, Maurice Frantz; sister, Bonnie Jones; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceding Stan in death were a brother-in-law, Joe Jones and sister-in-law, Janis Frantz.
Family will be receiving friends Friday, November 15, 2024, from 10 a.m. until 12 noon at Kroeger-Crain Funeral Home, Logansport Indiana.
The graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday November 15, 2024, at Little Deer Creek Cemetery, Onward, Indiana, with Pastor Doug Thomas officiating.
