Area’s holiday light displays make the season merry and bright

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Here are a few of the displays you’ll find in our area and around the state:
Logansport Christmas in the Park
The lights in Spencer Park in Logansport are on from dusk to dawn November 27 through January 5. Enter from High Street from dusk-dawn. Walk thru only Monday & Tuesday nights. Drive thru only Wednesday-Sunday. Free will donations accepted. You can check their Facebook page here.
Twelve Mile Living Christmas Pageant
The annual Twelve Mile Living Christmas Pageant in Plank Hill park is the town’s gift to you this Christmas season! Enjoy a drive through beautiful Plank Hill Park and witness the story of our Savior’s birth, life, death, & resurrection. Saturday, Dec. 14 and Sunday, Dec. 15 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Lights in the Airpark (Miami County)
Grissom Air Museum hosts this walk-through winter event in the Airpark. Enjoy the lights and celebrate the holiday. Friday, Nov. 29, 2024 – January 5, 2025. Closed 11/28, 12/24 and 12/25. Thursday-Sunday only. Open 4:30-9 p.m. Adults $9. Children (6-11) $8. 5 and under free. Visit the indoor Grissom Air Museum and Lights in the Airpark for one great price. Free take home craft for kids. More info
Pulaski Christmas Lights (Pulaski County)
The Village of Pulaski invites everyone to come and share in its labor of love, drive through the small town and return home with a warm feeling of fellowship and peace, shared by all who made ‘A Gift to Brighten Your Christmas’ possible.” Pulaski is located on State Road 16, southwest of Winamac. Displays are lit from 5-11 p.m. each night from Nov. 24 through January 1. More info here.
Light up The Park (Rochester – Fulton County)
December 14 – January 4. Lighting Ceremony Dec. 14 at 7 p.m. Featuring a community-powered drive-through light display. Free and open to the public. 505 W. 13 St., Rochester .Enter and exit on 13th Street only.
City of Lights Holiday Display (Kokomo, Howard County)
Highland Park’s City of Lights will be turned on Friday, Nov. 29, 2024. The holiday tradition, which started in 1993 with eight displays, now consists of more than 50 light displays. Visitors can drive through the display every evening starting at dusk. The lights will stay on all season, and Santa Claus will be there from 6-10 p.m. through Dec. 24. More info here.
Seiberling Mansion (Kokomo, Howard County)
The mansion is transformed annually for the Christmas holiday, artfully decorated by local organizations and individuals. Christmas at the Seiberling opens the Saturday after Thanksgiving and runs through the end of the year. This year’s theme is “Holiday Memories.” More info
Wintertyme Village at Kokomo Municipal Stadium (Kokomo, Howard County)
Open Saturdays 2-7 p.m. and Sundays 1-7 p.m.; Admission is free; The holiday-themed village will be closed parade night (Dec 7), though vendors will be able to set up downtown on the square for the parade; Planned activities will take place every night of the village; Some activities will include decorating a Christmas cookie with Mrs. Claus, writing letter to Santa, and visits with Santa in the Santa House; In addition to the Frozen Sandlot (ice skating) operating during regular hours, movies may be shown on the stadium’s Jumbotron; Also, several commercial lighted and 3D displays will be set up along the Stadium’s walking path. Frankfort Parks Festival of Lights (Clinton County)
Thanksgiving night through January 3. Santa arrives Mondays, Wednesdays and Christmas Eve. More info
Walkway of Lights (Marion – Grant County)
This dazzling holiday display spans over two miles and features more than 2.5 million lights on more than 120 displays along the Mississinewa Riverwalk in Matter Park. The Walkway of Lights is one of the longest running and largest light displays in the Midwest The festivities begin on the Saturday before Thanksgiving. The exhibit is illuminated nightly from 6 -10 p.m. through New Year’s Eve. Christmas City Walkway of Lights is only $5 per vehicle, per visit. Christmas Nights of Lights at the Indiana State Fairgrounds (Indianapolis)
See over 1 million lights synchronized to traditional and newer, rocking Christmas music played through your car stereo. Online reservation required. $35 per car. Through Dec. 31, 2024. More info.
Forest of Lights at Fair Oaks Farms (Fair Oaks, Indiana)
Changing scenes of lights, interactive color displays, perfect photo opportunities for families and friends – this is not to be missed! More info.
