Cass County launches new online payment system for property taxes

A new online payment system for Cass County property taxes will be live to the public on December 13, 2024. It will be available thru the Cass County website (co.cass.in.us) main page, and also will be on the Treasurer’s section as well. Information will be on back of the tax bills in the spring.

Cass County Treasurer Daphne Slusher says because the company is directly linked to Cass County’s property tax software, it will eliminate errors. She says she was also able to acquire a lower fee for Credit/Debit cards (2.30%, with $3 minimum) and eChecks ($1.75).

Slusher says perks with this program are that the taxpayer can set up an account where they can set auto payments, set up alerts, set up partial payments, and view their tax bill, and the program will prevent them from paying if they forgot they escrow their taxes as well.

“I am very conscious about streamlining and making the process easier and more cost effective for our taxpayers,” Slusher says.
