🗑️ TRASH PICKUP:

Logansport: If your pickup day falls on or after the holiday, your pickup will be delayed by one day.
Galveston: Trash will be picked up on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2024 and Saturday, January 4, 2025.
Walton: Due to the Christmas Holiday, trash pick up will be Dec. 27, 2024. Please be sure to place your trash toter 3 to 4 feet apart and away from other stationary items for safe and easy pickup. Make sure to set your trash tote out Thursday (12/26) evening or Friday (12/27) morning before 5:00 a.m.
Royal Center: Trash pick up will be on Saturday, December 28 and Saturday, January 4 due to holidays.

♻️ Cass County Recycling District warehouse at 15 Biddle St. will be closed December 24, December 25, December 31, 2024 and January 1 and January 2, 2025. The bins located throughout Cass County will not be switched out on those dates either as Republic is closed also on these dates. It is also that time of the year when the bins fill up extremely fast, please be courteous and break down your cardboard. Foil wrapping paper, bows, ribbons and trash go in your normal trash. Please DO NOT put anything outside of the bins if they’re full. Kindly wait until they are switched out.

🌲 LIVE CHRISTMAS TREE DISPOSAL: The Logansport Street Department says you can place live Christmas trees by your trash receptacle for disposal. Make sure all bags, lights, ornaments and tree stands have been removed.

📮 MAIL DELIVERY

📬 USPS will be closed on Wednesday, December 25, 2024 in observance of Christmas Day and on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 in observance of New Year’s Day.

CLOSURES

💰 Check with your bank for their holiday hours.

🏥 Logansport Memorial Hospital: On Christmas Day (Dec. 25) and New Year’s Day (January 1), the Main Entrance, the Medical Office Building East Entrance, and the Medical Office Building West Entrance at Logansport Memorial Hospital will be closed in observance of the holiday. Patients and visitors should enter through the Emergency Room Entrance. Main Registration and the Lobby Lab will also be closed on these days. Patient registration can be completed at the ER desk.

🚗 All Indiana BMV branches will be closed Tuesday, December 24 and Wednesday, December 25 in observance of the Christmas holiday and will resume regularly scheduled business hours on Thursday, December 26. Branches will also be closed Wednesday, January 1, 2025, in observance of the New Year’s holiday and will resume regular hours on Thursday, January 2, 2025. myBMV and kiosks will be offline for scheduled maintenance from 10:30 p.m. ET on December 31, 2024 until 2 p.m. ET on January 1, 2025.

🏛️ The Cass County Government Building will be closed Tuesday, Dec. 24, Wednesday, Dec. 25, Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2024 as well as Wednesday, January 1 and Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025.

🏛️ The Logansport City Building will be closed on Tuesday, Dec. 24 and Wednesday, Dec. 25 in observance of Christmas and Wednesday, January 1, 2025 in observance of New Year’s Day.

🔌 Logansport Utilities’ office hours will be adjusted on several days in December and
January due to training and observance of the Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays.
The customer service office will be open with limited hours at the city building, 8:30 a.m. until Noon on Monday, December 23, 2024, and Tuesday, December 31, 2024. All Logansport Utilities’ offices will be closed on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, Wednesday, December 25, 2024, and Wednesday, January 1, 2025.

🏛️ Galveston Town Hall Town Hall will be closed on December 25 & 26 in celebration of Christmas. It will also be closed on New Years Day (Dec. 31).

🏛️ Walton Town Hall will close at noon on Dec. 24 for Christmas Eve. Walton Town Hall will be CLOSED on Dec. 25 in observance of the Christmas. SHUTOFF DAY will be on Dec. 26 at 8:00. Town Hall will be closing at noon on 12/31 for New Years Eve. Town Hall will be CLOSED on 01/01/2025 in observance of the Holiday.

🏛️ The Cass County Purdue Extension office will be closed from December 24, 2024 through January 2, 2025. They will be open starting January 3^rd for regular office hours, 8-4, M-F.

⛪ All Emmaus Mission Facilities will be closed Tuesday, Dec. 24 at noon, Wednesday, Dec. 25 all day, Tuesday, Dec. 31 at noon and Wednesday, January 1 all day. The thrift store will be closed from Dec. 23 through January 6.

⛪ Area Five will be closed Tuesday, Dec. 24 and Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2024.

🚌 Christmas Vacation

DATES TO REMEMBER:

The Winter Solstice occurs on Saturday, Dec. 21 at 4:21 a.m.

Christmas Eve is Tuesday, Dec. 24 and Christmas Day is Wednesday, Dec. 25.

Hanukkah begins at sundown on Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2024, and ends at sundown on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025.

Kwanzaa is celebrated from Thursday, Dec. 26 to Wednesday, January 1.

New Year’s Eve is Tuesday, Dec. 31 and New Year’s Day is Wednesday, January 1.

Three Kings’ Day, or Epiphany, is Monday, Jan. 6.
