Road closures: Appleseed Solar area north of Walton beginning April 1, 2025

Road grinding and stabilization will begin Tuesday, April 1 in the Appleseed Solar project area north of Walton. This is part of the road restoration process contained in the road use agreement for the project. The designated roads include certain road segments in an area west to east from 425E to 800E, and north to south from US 24 to SR 218.  

The first road segment scheduled for stabilization is 300S from 500E to 600E. While local access will be maintained, thru traffic should use an alternate route while work is being done on an individual road segment.

After stabilization, the roads will essentially be a gravel road with dust control for a period of time until final completion of the project, after which a new chip seal or asphalt surface will be placed on the restored roads.
