Here’s the 2025 Spring Break schedule for K-12 students in Cass County, Indiana:

If you’re spending the week in Cass County, here are some local activities to enjoy!

SPRING BREAK CAMP

The Cass County Family YMCA offers a five-day Spring Break Camp that includes swimming, games and more for kids in grades K-6. The registration deadline is March 23!

CATCH A GAME

Kick off Spring Break with Logansport’s new professional basketball team! The Logansport Iron Horses will play the Kokomo Bobcats at 7 p.m. March 22 at Kokomo’s Haworth Gym.

Then, on Sunday, March 23, they’ll play their first home game in the Logansport High School Berry Bowl at 3 p.m. against the St. Louis Griffins. Catch them again at home in the Berry Bowl on April 1, 3 and 5.

YOUTH BASKETBALL CLINIC

The Logansport Iron Horses 2025 FREE Youth Basketball Clinic, will be happening at the YMCA on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. This event, brought to you by the Logansport Iron Horses Professional Basketball Team and Junior TBL and proudly supported by Title Sponsor, Opal Apples, is open to all youth in Grades 3 through 8.

As an added bonus, each registered participant will receive a FREE Logansport Iron Horses T-Shirt! Supplies are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis, so be sure to secure your spot early.

This clinic offers young athletes a unique opportunity to develop basketball skills alongside professional players while learning teamwork, discipline, and confidence both on and off the court. With an anticipated turnout of 50+ youth, registration is required to participate.

MAKE A COLLEGE VISIT

We know … It’s supposed to be a break from school. But, if you’ve never visited Logansport’s Ivy Tech campus along the Hoosier Heartland, this would be a great opportunity. If you’ve got the urge to travel, Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana University-Kokomo and the Ivy Tech campus in Kokomo are within a short drive, as are several other colleges. You can schedule a visit through the Office of Admissions, or just drop in and explore the campus on your own.

TAKE A HIKE

If you’ve never explored the local trail system, you could make that part of your spring break staycation plans! The Little Turtle Waterway Trail begins at the confluence of the rivers at the west end of Melbourne Avenue and goes east, all the way to 18th Street. The Eel River Run trail connects via Fourth Street, then heads east along High Street and Race Street to Riverside Park. Cross the Cole Bridge at the northeast end of Riverside Park and take the River Bluff Trail. Head north and explore Hervey Preserve (entrance from the River Bluff Trail or off Michigan Avenue) and the Labyrinth. Take a lap around the trails at Huston Park, off of Smith Street. West of Logansport, near France Park, you can catch the Panhandle Pathway and take it to Royal Center, then, all the way to Winamac.

SEE A MOVIE

Mary Max Cinemas is offering free admission movies on Wednesday & Thursday, March 26 & 27. Doors open at 9 a.m. and the movies begin at 10 a.m. Seating is limited to the 1st 170 patrons. Showtimes for other movies can be found at marymaxcinemas.com.
