Logansport Utilities enhances water infrastructure; temporary traffic disruptions expected
Last Updated on May 20, 2025 by Cass County Communication Network
It’s good news for almost four dozen residents living on the south side of Logansport, as Logansport Utilities will be installing required potable water access within the municipally provided system.
Contractor F&K Construction will install a new water main along East and West Clinton Street and provide free water service line hookups to 12 homes on East Clinton Street, 20 homes on West Clinton Street, 6 on West Street, and 3 on Sherman Street. These homes previously lacked access to the city’s potable water system. Affected residents will receive official notices when the free installations begin.
The project ensures compliance with local ordinance and Indiana state regulations mandating public water service availability within the city’s service boundary, promoting water quality, safety, and efficient resource management.
Construction will take place over several months and involve excavation and roadwork. Motorists should expect traffic disruptions and lane or road closures along Clinton Street. “No parking” signs will be posted in construction zones, and vehicles may be towed for safety and access.
This expansion reflects Logansport Utilities’ continued commitment to delivering safe, reliable water
service to the entire community.
