Edmond (Ed) Irelan

Edmond (Ed) Irelan passed away January 4, 2025 in Burlington, Vermont. He was born on 1/31/50 in Dayton, OH but spent many of his school years in Logansport, graduating from LHS in 1968 where he excelled as a member of the Berries baseball and football teams. Although he lived in many states, he always thought of Logansport as home and loved returning for his Sycamore lemon sodas, Bolin’s doughnuts, Bruno’s pizzas and China Lane. 

His wife of 49 years Cynthia (Cid) Irelan preceded him in death on 4/5/21. They met in Great Falls,Montana where Ed was stationed in the Air Force and were married in July 1972. 

They are survived by daughters Peggy Irelan of Chandler, AZ and Dr. Wendy Irelan Conway as well as grandchildren Julia Conway, James Conway IV and Calvin Conway all of Burlington, VT.

They were “Uncle” Ed and “Aunt” Cid to their adopted Logansport family, the Hershbergers. They are sorely missed by all.
