Gary Max Bowen, age 82, Logansport, passed away at 9:42 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2025, in Miller’s Merry Manor.
Born June 16, 1943, in Logansport, he was the son of Max Bruce Bowen and Helen Mae Albright Bowen.
On April 21, 1968, he married Charlotte Yeater Bowen, who preceded him in death January 26, 2021.
Gary retired from Hoosier Refreshment (Pepsi-Cola) after many years of employment.
He attended Logansport High School and enlisted in the United States Navy, where he was Honorably Discharged. He enjoyed bowling and camping. He was a member of the American Indian Council.
Gary was a member of St. James Lutheran Church.
Surviving is a son, Jeff Bowen, Logansport; daughter and her spouse, Deborah Bowen (Melissa) Harrison, Logansport; granddaughter, De’Anna Daughterty; great grandchildren, Joseph Harrison, Derris Harrison, Michael Harrison, Mary Harrison, Aedan Harrison.
A brother, Galen Bowen, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 17th, at Kroeger-Crain Funeral Home.
The funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 17th, at Kroeger-Crain Funeral Home, with Pastor Scott Woodhouse officiating. Susan Cahalan will provide music for the service.
Interment will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park. Full military honors will be provided by the Cass County Honor Guard as well as uniformed, active-duty members of the United States Navy.
