Richard J. Holle, 94, of Logansport, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Woodbridge Health Campus, surrounded by the love of his family.
Richard was born on May 13, 1931, in Logansport, to the late Albert and Etta (Feller) Holle.
A 1949 graduate from Logansport High School, he soon enlisted in the United States Navy and proudly serving during the Korean War.
On September 24, 1972, in the Indian Creek Christian Church, he was married to Nina (Swank) Holle, who survives.
He devoted 30 years to Sears, where he served as an assistant manager.
Richard was a member of Shiloh Christian Church and American Legion Post 60. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, building several exceptional pieces of furniture.
Surviving with his wife, Nina, are his children, Cathie Holle Portenier and her husband, Robert, of Topeka, KS. Jeffrey Holle, of Mojave, CA; Tammy Limp and her husband, Andrew, of Indianapolis, IN, and Debbe Waldrep and her husband, Derek, of Bedford, IN. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: Elizabeth, William, Sarah, and Rachel Limp; and Isaac and Lillian Waldrep.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Thomas Holle and Virginia Walker.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 30 in Fisher Funeral Chapel.
A Funeral Service celebrating Richard’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 31, in Shiloh Christian Church.
Burial will follow in the Shiloh Christian Church. Full military honors will be accorded by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard and the Cass County Honor Guard.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shiloh Youth Group.
