Caleb Micah Brewer, born on December 14, 1991, in Logansport, In., passed away peacefully in his home on June 16, 2025, in Logansport, In. He was a survivor and was aptly named after two biblical warriors who put their trust in God.
Among his many accomplishments, Caleb overcame many life-threatening illnesses, several lifetimes of pain and faced his health journey with bravery, understanding and dignity. Having gone through all of that, Caleb received his certificate of graduation from Logansport High School in 2013.
Caleb brought color and warmth to the lives of those who knew him. With an infectious laugh that could add vibrance to any room, he had a way of making even the quietest moments feel alive. Time with him was always genuine. Whether it was spent watching movies, diving into the world of video games, or simply sharing in a moment of escapism through music. He found peace and curiosity in the natural world, especially during walks near the shores of Lake Maxinkuckee or along the trails of Logansport. Those adventures, no matter how small, always carried the promise of something more, a reminder that life’s most meaningful moments often come unplanned. He lived with a fierce sense of independence, boldly and unapologetically on his own terms, never swayed by convention, or someone of titles.
He will be remembered not only for his unique way of moving through the world, but for the way he made others feel seen, heard, and understood. He was deeply loved and only knew how to love. “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” Matthew 5:8
He is survived by his loving parents Richard Dean and Kelly Susan Brewer who reside in Logansport, In., and a brother Kirbey Michael Brewer of Warsaw, In. Also survived by a brother-in-law Craig Michael Sheehan, maternal grandmother Deanna H. Forker, and a paternal grandfather Dr. Robert A. Brewer, step mother-in-law Delores Brewer, RN, along with several aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death is Caleb’s grandfather Richard O. Forker, and grandmother Mildred N. Brewer, RN, FNP.
A private cremation was held and a private family celebration will be held at a later date.
