Brandy Lynn Cummins, 35, of South Bend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 8:54 AM at Memorial Hospital of South Bend, surrounded by loved ones.
Born August 1, 1990, in South Bend, Indiana, she was the beloved daughter of the late William Ray Cummins and Bobbie June (Thompson) Jones.
Brandy’s warm smile and generous heart touched everyone she met. A graduate of Culver High School, she continued her education at IUSB, pursuing her passions for psychology and Japanese. Her volunteer work at the local pet refuge reflected her kind spirit and love for animals; her own cats, Clark and Cassie (and the dearly departed Midnight), were her constant companions. Beyond her volunteer efforts, Brandy thrived as an event coordinator, finding joy in bringing happiness to children, especially her cherished nieces and nephews: Justin Randall, Ashley Randall, Kameryn Cherry, Mackenzie Bauknecht, Chase Bauknecht, Mila Hatton, and Ezekiel (Zeke) Hatton.
Brandy is survived by her mother, Bobbie Jones, and stepfather Ronald Jones; her twin sister, Bridget Lee Cummins; sisters Laurie (Randall) Womack and Lisa Hatton; brother Bud Cherry; and stepbrothers Jim, Brad, John, Bob, Chris, Clinton, and Mark Cummins. She was preceded in death by her father, William Ray Cummins; stepbrother Gerry Cummins; and grandparents Robert and Opal Thompson, Genevieve and James Cummins, and Dean and Linda Jones. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy and is deeply missed. The love of her life, Baby Addison Grace Baum, awaits her in heaven.
A celebration of life will be held at The Church of Christ of Latter Day Saints, 9645 Deer Trail, Plymouth, Indiana, on October 18th, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
