Mark D. Ashby, 77, of Logansport, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Parkview Hospital in Logansport. He was born November 20, 1947, in Logansport to Richard “Dick” and Beverly (Snyder) Ashby.

Mark was a graduate of Logansport High School, class of 1965. He served in the Vietnam War as part of the United States Army as a Sargeant. He worked several jobs over his years, including Wilson foods, General Tire, Trelleborg, and then for Logansport Community Schools. Mark was a hardworking man that loved his family. His top priority was always caring and supporting his family. He enjoyed playing golf, playing cards and Euchre with friends, watching Indiana Pacers, Fever, and Indianapolis Colts; and took great joy coaching and watching his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren playing sports.

He is survived by his children, Bryon (Bethany) Ashby, Kimberly (Brian Conrad) Campbell, Lee Ann Gates; brother, Richard (Sharon) Ashby; former son-in-law, Matt Gates; grandchildren, Tyler (Ashley) Reddington, Amber Casey, Madison (Ryan) Hume, Kennedy Gates, Cameron Gates, Addison Ashby; great grandchildren, Avery Townsend and Grayson Reddington.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Karen Roller.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 4-7pm at Gundrum Funeral Home. A private family burial will be held at a later date at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Military rites will be performed at 7pm on Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Logansport Athletics Department.
