Bonnie L. Record, 60, of Logansport, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 6, 2025, at Franciscan Health East Hospital in Lafayette.
Born December 26, 1964, she was the daughter of the late Marilyn Jane and Walter Mize,
To those who knew her, Bonnie was always putting others first above herself. Her home was a sanctuary for childhood weekends, movie marathons, and holiday gatherings. Whether flipping the coffee table over for playtime or showing up to family parties despite not feeling well, Bonnie’s presence was steady, strong, and full of heart.
One niece shared, “Aunt Bonnie, you were one amazing lady… You gave up so much so others could have more. I’ll never forget your heart of gold.” Her memory lives on in the stories told around kitchen tables and in the quiet strength she passed down to her daughter, Stacy, and granddaughter, Chloe.
Bonnie loved spending time with her daughter and son-in-law, Stacy and Paul Hunt and her granddaughter, Chloe Hunt. She is also survived by her siblings, Billy Mize, Bobbie Kistler, and Annie Piland; and her nieces and nephews.
When she was a little girl, Bonnie was baptized at the First Church of the Nazarene – Logansport. Her passing reunites her with her mother and stepfather and brings comfort in knowing she is now free from pain, surrounded by peace in Heaven.
A graveside service celebrating Bonnie’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 10 at Davis Cemetery near Burnettsville, with Pastor Jeff Allen officiating. Those wishing to travel in procession to the cemetery are invited to gather at 10:30 a.m. in the parking lot of Fisher Funeral Chapel.
Instead of sending flowers, Bonnie’s family asks for help with her final expenses. If you’d like to give a gift to help, please click on the link to the Tribute Fund. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.
