Linda D. Isaacs, 80, of Walton, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo. She was born September 26, 1945, in Crothersville, Indiana to Ted and Florence (Meeks) Baker. She married William “Bill” Isaacs January 24, 1965, in the United Methodist Church in Brownstown, Indiana and he survives.
Linda taught pre-school in Remington and Wolcott, Indiana for several years before starting her own pre-school in Flora, Indiana at the Methodist Church. She later helped start a pre-school at Onward Christian Church in Onward, Indiana where her grandchildren attended. Linda was a very talented artist and enjoyed flower design. She also worked in the florist business in Lafayette, Wolcott and at Grissom AFB in the BX. She was a member of the Onward Christian Church, the Onward Women’s Fellowship, the Psi Lota Xi Sorority and DAR (Daughter’s of the American Revolution). She was a member of Bridge Club and served on the Cass County Queen Committee for 10+ years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, painting, all kinds of crafts, watching movies, baking, and cooking.
Surviving family include her husband Bill; her children, Paul (Chris) Isaacs, Jason (Lynne) Isaacs, Sarah (Todd) Redlin and Rebecca Isaacs-Lee. She is also survived by grandchildren, Courtney and husband Cory, Phillip and wife LuAnn, Allison and husband Shayne, Adam, Joshua and wife Emily, Daniel, Emily, Hannah, Allana, Lydia, Olivia, Owen and Asher. Her great grandchildren include Rosie, Porter and Brynley. She is also survived by one sister, Becky Gardenour, nieces, Robin (Anthony) Moore, Abby (Matt) Hillard and several other nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister Judy Whiteman.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Onward Christian Church in Onward, Indiana with Pastor Rod Mason officiating. Visiting hours will be from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at the church. There will also be a visitation in Seymour, Indiana at the Honeytown Christian Church in Seymour, Indiana from 12:00 noon Friday, October 10th until 2:00 p.m. Linda will be buried at Robertson Cemetery in Brownstown immediately after.
Memorial contributions may be made to Onward Christian Church for a Memorial Scholarship Fund to be set up in Linda’s Memory.
