
House fire in Logansport displaces eight people

At 1:07 p.m. on the afternoon of November 10, 2025, Logansport Fire Department, Logansport Police Department, and Cass County EMS were dispatched to the area of 17th and Broadway in Logansport for the report of smoke coming from the roof of a residence. LPD arrived on scene and advised there was smoke coming from the roof of a residence located on the east side of the road in the 200 block of 17th Street.
Crews from the Logansport Fire Department arrived at 1:10 p.m. and began an interior attack of the fire located in the attic. A primary search was completed and no occupants were located in the residence. District 1 Fire Department was requested to the scene and provided additional manpower.
The fire was brought under control in approximately 10 minutes. There were no reported injuries. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The Logansport Fire Department was assisted on scene by the Logansport Police Department, Cass County Fire District 1, Cass County EMS, Cass County Emergency Management, Logansport Building Commissioner and the American Red Cross.
