Linda Lou Smith

Former Logansport resident Linda Lou Smith, 82, Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, in Penrose Hospital, Colorado Springs, Colorado. 

Born May 22, 1943, in Logansport, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Lowell Jay and Betty Jane (Raisor) Smith. 

A graduate of Logansport High School, Linda completed her bachelor’s degree at Purdue University and earned her Masters of Science in Education at Indiana University.  Her motto was “I touch the future, I teach” and for thirty-two years, she poured her heart and soul into her career.  Her impact on the many lives she touched is immeasurable.

Linda will be laid to rest in Spring Creek Christian Cemetery in Cass County.  No public services are planned.
