James C. Schnepp

James “Jamie or JC” Christopher Schnepp, 45, of Lafayette, IN, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025.

He was born on September 20, 1980 in Logansport, Indiana to Jeffrey and Jane (Young) Schnepp.

Jamie graduated from Pioneer High School in 1999. During high school, he was a Boy Scout and played football. Jamie’s passion for football began in peewee/ youth league football. He played junior high, jv, and varsity football. In 1997, his team won the IHSAA Class 1A State Championship. JC proudly sported the #73 football jersey.

On July 23, 2025, he married Erran Denham in Lafayette.

JC worked for Vanguard National Trailer Association as a yard coordinator. He had previously worked for Venture Logistics.

Jamie enjoyed listening to music and spending time with his family and friends. He was a huge sports fan and loved his Basset Hound, Pete.

Surviving are his wife, Erran Denham of Lafayette; his daughter, Joslyn Schnepp of Star City; his stepchildren, Thomas McCollum, Taylor Rehwinkel, Tye Myers, and Elizabeth Myers, all of Lafayette; and his siblings, Jacquelynn Schnepp of Logansport, Jennifer (John) Hatch of Tennessee, and Lewis Linback of Lafayette.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jeffrey and Jane Schnepp; his brother, Jeff Schnepp; and his grandmother, Martha Young.

A Service will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025 at 7 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Chapel-Lafayette. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in Pisgah Cemetery in Logansport.
