Karen Sue Cole, 68, of Logansport, passed away Friday, December 23, 2025, in Miller’s Merry Manor.

She was born May 24, 1957, in Logansport, to the late Laurel E. Hoover Sr. and Daisy E. (Strasser) Hilficker.

Karen married Samuel Lee Cole in Logansport, he preceded her in death September 12, 1997.

Karen was a homemaker who loved the simple things in life. She spent her days crocheting, working in her garden, and taking care of her dogs. She was the “Vet Mom” to every pet that needed her.

She loved her music-especially Alabama- she was a proud member of their fan club. But more than anything, she loved being a grandma. Her grandkids were her joy, and they kept her feeling young.

She is survived by her children, Angela Cole (Shad Clements) and Michael Cole; one brother, Daniel (Sharon) Hoover; one sister, Shelly (Richard) Hunter; her stepfather, John (Daisy) Hilficker; a brother-in-law, Larry “Bud” Tucker; her grandchildren, Zachary (Nichole) Davila, Ashleigh Davila (Jorge Almeida), Kourtney (Braxten) Logan, and Stephanie Davila (Daniel Gonzales); her great-grandchildren, Elijah, Mackenzie & Adalyn Davila, Jaxson, Jayson, Jovani & Jordan Almeida, Sofia, Everett, Elliot & Leo Logan, Ximena, Abel, and Ezra and Xiomara Gonzales, and Mylah Contreras.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Noe (Alex) Contreras; her brothers, Don, Rex, Ed and Charles Hoover; and her sisters, Judy Hoover and Kathy Tucker; sister-in-law, Sandy Hoover; and step-father, John Hilficker.

A funeral service celebrating Karen’s life will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, in Fisher Funeral Chapel with Dawn Fisher officiating. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
