Michael (Mike) Lee Quaglio, age 77, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Peabody Retirement Community in North Manchester, Indiana after a short battle with kidney disease.

He was born March 7, 1948, in Logansport, Indiana to the late Frank and Mary Rose Quaglio. From 1968 to 1970, Mike served as a U.S. Marine Corps Scout Sniper in the Vietnam War. Upon honorable discharge, Mike returned to Logansport, Indiana, to build his life, working for many years at Wilson Foods in Logansport and eventually retiring in 2018 from his position as Maintenance Forman at Haynes International in Kokomo, Indiana.

In his retirement, you could always find him tinkering in his garage and eventually his own repair shop. He enjoyed working with his hands and loved car restoration and repair. If you ever spent time at his shop you were lucky. It was a special place and a great hangout spot for his many friends and family members. He was always happy to lend a tool or the space for others to work, and he was always ready to talk shop.

Mike was also an avid fisherman. As well as fishing along the Wabash River near his home, he enjoyed bass fishing for sport and competed in tournaments on lakes in the Midwest and in the southern United States.

Mike was a hard worker and a generous man. He had a big heart, and the word “kind” is often used to describe him. He will be missed by many.

He is survived by his wife Brenda Quaglio; daughters Tasha Quaglio and Lindsey Quaglio; grandchildren Kayleigh Dance, Emily Quaglio, and Carter Peltz; siblings Larry (Marge) Quaglio, John (Susie) Quaglio, Angie (Kenny) Suiter; and many dear nieces and nephews and great-nieces and -nephews. He was proceeded in death by his parents and brothers Frankie, Bill, and Leonard Quaglio.

Mike’s remains will be cremated and a special memorial service is being planned for Spring 2026 in Logansport, Indiana.
