Armed robbery investigation leads to arrest in Logansport

On January 24, 2026, the Logansport Police Department Patrol Division responded to a call of an armed robbery in the 1000 block of Wheatland Avenue, Logansport. Officers were advised that a male suspect had displayed a gun and demanded personal items from a juvenile and an adult male. Both victims were uninjured during the armed robbery. The suspect fled the area in a vehicle with stolen items.

The Logansport Police Department Criminal Investigation Division was called to the scene to assist the Patrol Division. During the investigation, the suspect was identified as Daniel Garcia Antonio, Logansport. The Indiana State Police Investigative Support Section was contacted to assist with the investigation.

On January 25, 2026, Cass County Circuit Court issued an arrest warrant for Daniel Garcia Antonio, for one count of Armed Robbery, a Level 3 Felony. A search warrant was also issued for a residence on the 00
hundred block of Eel River Avenue, Logansport.

The Indiana State Police Emergency Response Team (SWAT) executed the search warrant at approximately 1250 hours on this date. Daniel Garcia Antonio was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Cass County Jail. During the search of the residence/property, the stolen personal items were recovered, several guns and illegal drugs were also located.

Daniel Garcia Antonio will face additional charges as the investigation continues. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
