Arrests made in connection with shooting on Burlington Avenue in Logansport

The Logansport Police Department announces the arrest of Jesse Macias, 45, and Emilio Macias, 19, both of Flora, IN, in connection with a shooting incident that occurred on January 28, 2026, at 101 Burlington Ave.

According to the investigation, a suspect left The Dutchmill Bar, entered a vehicle, and as it departed south on Burlington Ave, fired 15 rounds into the air. No injuries occurred, and no property was damaged.

The suspects were located on January 29, 2026, at the Old Style Bar, following a tip regarding their whereabouts. Jesse Macias was armed with a firearm and two extra magazines at the time of apprehension.

Jesse Macias was charged with Criminal Recklessness with a Deadly Weapon (Level 6 Felony) and Intimidation with a Deadly Weapon (Level 5 Felony). Emilio Macias was charged with Minor Possession of
Alcohol (Class C Misdemeanor) and Conspiracy (Level 6 Felony).

Both individuals were taken into custody and transported to the Cass County Jail.

The investigation remains ongoing, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.

An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
