LuAnn Edwards

LuAnn Edwards, 66, Logansport, Indiana, went home to be with her Lord Friday, January 2, 2026, in the Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis following complications from a heart procedure in November.

Born July 29, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Harold Nelson Edwards (1990)  and Frances Lucille (Winters) Edwards (2013).

In her own notes, LuAnn listed graduating as valedictorian of the NCIBC Bible College Class of 2007 and helping secure a building for Heartland Church as two of her life’s meaningful achievements. Above all, she wished to be remembered as a good Auntie and friend.

Jesus was the most important part of LuAnn’s life. In fact, when asked her religious affiliation, she simply wrote: ‘JESUS, JESUS, JESUS.’ Over the years, she enjoyed the fellowship of worshipping with other believers at Jesus Apostolic Faith Church (1990-1999), Church of the Heartland (1999-2017), and most recently, Life Gate Church (2017-present). Her favorite hymns, The Goodness of God and How Great Thou Art, reflected the depth of her love for the Lord. She also loved spending time in her Bible.

LuAnn was a people person who truly enjoyed connecting with others. Her name often appeared in Facebook comments, usually accompanied by the folded-hands prayer emoji or a few words of encouragement. Her favorite color was turquoise, and her idea of paradise would always include a beach and palm trees

She is survived by, one brother, Randy Lee Edwards – Bunker Hill Indiana; her sister, Samarea Edwards – Logansport Indiana; Nieces : Michelle Campbell, Emilie Harvey, Myley Edwards. Kristen Edwards; Nephews : Rob Green, Bradley Edwards Jr.; Great Nieces: Kahianay, Kiallah Khyra Green, Kashelle, Katheriah. Ka ‘Mayla, Campbell, Korina Crandell; Great Nephews: Kendol, Rylan, Roman Green, Aiden Harvey, Latherian Campbell; Great Great Niece: Le’lani Green; as well as several extended family members and many friends.

In addition to her parents, LuAnn was preceded in death by two brothers, Brothers: Alan Gene Edwards (1991) and Bradley Nelson Edwards (2022); one sister, Vicki Sue Edwards-Green (2009).

Visitation and funeral arrangements are pending.

Burial, at a later date, will be beside her parents at Walton I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Walton, Indiana.
