Ronald Russell Ousley, Jr., 38, passed away unexpectedly at his home on January 13, 2026, after suffering a ruptured aorta related to Marfan syndrome.
Born on March 9, 1987, in Peru, Indiana, he was the son of Ronald Russell Ousley, Sr., who survives in Peru, Indiana, and Melissa (Robbins) Hewitt. He was preceded in death by his mother and his brothers, Greg Ousley and Andrew Nichols.
Ron was employed as an assembler at the Subaru plant in Lafayette.
He loved his children beyond measure, and that same devotion extended to his four‑legged companions-his husky, Alaska, and his pitbull, Cookie. Ron was a proud and loyal fan of the Indiana Pacers and the Indianapolis Colts. He worked every day to better himself, always striving to grow into the man he wanted to be.
Surviving with his father are his children, Zander Ousley and Melissa Ousley, and a bonus son, Dustin Brewer; their mother, his former wife, Leighandra Ousley (Taylor Hanby); and four siblings, Brantlee Ousley, Brentlee Ousley, Kayla Ousley, and Isabella Ousley.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 – 5 p.m. Sunday, February 1, 2026, in the Union Hall located at 356 West Broadway, Logansport, Indiana.
