Logansport, Indiana — Mayor Chris Martin is proud to announce his membership in the Mayors Alliance to End Childhood Hunger, a national coalition of local leaders committed to ensuring every child in America has access to nutritious food.

Launched in 2022, the Mayors Alliance to End Childhood Hunger unites mayors from cities nationwide to share best practices, advocate for effective policies, and partner with organizations like Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign to end childhood hunger at the local, state, and federal level. The Alliance’s mission is to harness the individual and collective leadership of mayors to eliminate hunger and strengthen communities.

“No child should worry about where their next meal will come from,” said Mayor Martin. “In my community, I see how food insecurity affects learning, health, and hope. The Mayors Alliance brings leaders together to confront this reality head-on and build sustainable solutions that uplift families and strengthen entire cities.”

As a member of the Alliance, Mayor Martin will work alongside other city leaders to advance innovative approaches that improve access to nutritious meals, support families, and reduce food insecurity in Logansport and beyond.

The Mayors Alliance to End Childhood Hunger now includes mayors from communities of all sizes, representing the collective commitment of local leadership to ensure children receive the nourishment they need to thrive.
