Logansport High School proudly honored 61 members of the Class of 2026 during the 51st Annual Senior Scholars Induction Ceremony, held on Sunday, March 1. The ceremony recognized students who have demonstrated outstanding dedication to academic excellence throughout their high school careers.
To be eligible for induction into the Senior Scholar Society, students must earn a cumulative grade point average of 3.75 or higher after the seventh semester of their high school career. This distinction represents the highest level of academic achievement recognized by Logansport High School and celebrates the
commitment, perseverance, and intellectual curiosity of these students.
The Senior Scholar Society was established at Logansport High School in the mid-1970s to recognize students solely for their scholastic excellence. For more than five decades, the program has honored Berries who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to their studies and a consistent pursuit of academic success. Each year, the induction ceremony serves as a proud tradition that highlights the importance of scholarship within the Logansport community.
“These students represent the very best of Logansport High School,” said Principal Michael Miller. “Their commitment to learning, discipline in the classroom, and dedication to excellence embody what it means to be a Berry. We are incredibly proud of the hard work and perseverance that has led them to this achievement.”
The ceremony also featured an inspirational keynote address from Jocelyn Aguilar Castro, a proud member of the Logansport High School Class of 2015. Aguilar currently serves as a teacher at Landis Elementary School and next year will become Assistant Principal at Landis Elementary and Logansport Community School Corporation’s first bilingual administrator.
“Jocelyn represents the very best of what it means to be a Berry—commitment, perseverance, service, and a heart for this community,” said Miller. “Her journey reflects our Senior Scholar theme that excellence is not only about what you achieve, but how you use your talents to lift others and give back to the community that raised you.”
Logansport High School congratulates the 61 Senior Scholars of the Class of 2026 and celebrates the continued tradition of academic excellence that defines Berry Pride.
