National honor recognizes Steinberger Construction as a leader in supporting employee well-being

LOGANSPORT, IND. – Steinberger Construction (SCI) is proud to announce that it has been awarded a 2026 Gold Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health, the nation’s top recognition for U.S. employers committed to creating mentally healthy workplaces. The Bell Seal is issued by Mental Health America, the nation’s leading nonprofit dedicated to promoting mental health and well-being of all people living
in the U.S.

“Earning the Bell Seal is something we don’t take lightly, because it reflects the kind of workplace our people have built together over many years,” said Kailin Bauman, Wellness Director at Steinberger Construction. “In our industry, mental health and well-being aren’t always part of the conversation, and
we want to keep changing that. Whether it’s our Annual Wellness Summit, the counseling resources
available through our Employee Assistance Program, or the Wellness Time Off our team members can
use when they need it, every piece of what we offer comes back to the same belief: our people are our
greatest asset, and supporting their whole health is part of how we do business.”

Steinberger Construction was evaluated on its policies and practices in four areas: culture, benefits,
compliance, and whole-health wellness programs. SCI’s approach to employee well-being is built
around the belief that supporting the whole person makes for stronger teams and better work. Each
year, the company hosts an Annual Wellness Summit, and members of its leadership and supervisory
team are trained as QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Gatekeepers, equipping them to recognize the
warning signs of a mental health crisis and connect team members with help. SCI also offers Wellness
Time Off (WTO), a company-paid Employee Assistance Program that includes counseling services, and
a comprehensive health benefits package covering outpatient care, psychiatry, psychotherapy,
residential treatment, substance use rehabilitation, telehealth and virtual services, and wellness
coaching. Team feedback is gathered and acted on throughout the year, ensuring that what SCI offers
continues to reflect what its people actually need.

Steinberger Construction is committed to providing the best for its employees and looks forward to continuing work to ensure they uphold the standards the Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health set forth.
Since 2019, Mental Health America has awarded the Bell Seal to hundreds of employers for supporting
the mental health of 5.1 million employees combined, following decades of research into best practices
in workplace mental health.
