Rosanna M. Callender Markley, 97, Logansport, Indiana, passed away Sunday morning, June 14, 2026, in Chase Center.
Born December 6, 1928, in Twelve Mile, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Roy James and Miriam Ellen (Jones) Winegardner.
In 1947, she married James Donald Callender who preceded her in death on June 25, 1986. On June 30, 2000, she was married to Lewis Frank Markley. He preceded her in death August 29, 2013.
Rosanna graduated from Twelve Mile High School. She worked for many years as a manager and teller with the Twelve Mile Community State Bank and later with the Federal Farm Bank in Lafayette.
She enjoyed sewing and quilt‑making, and she loved sharing the things she made with others. For her 80th birthday, her sons took her to Hawaii, a trip she talked about often and remembered with a smile. Rosanna also donated blood throughout her life, giving whenever she was able until her health made it difficult.
Surviving is her son, Mark Callender, Twelve Mile; a daughter-in-law, Marcia Callender; brother, Dennis Winegardner, sister, Joyce Edwards; grandchildren, Jasmine Barkas, Andrew Callender, Justin (Christina) Callender, and Samantha; great-grandchildren, Brianna Baker, Nicholas Barkas, and Shyann, Maverick, Lewie, Callender, Max and Audrey; and several great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by her son, Donald Callender, sister, Judy Conn, and brothers, Sam and Jim Winegardner.

Burial will be in Spring Creek Christian Cemetery beside her husband Don Callender.
