Marjorie A. Carlson, 102, of Port Clinton, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2026.
Born on November 9, 1923, in Roseville, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Ava (Baer) Lewis.
On September 6, 1947, in Roseville, she married Darrell Carlson, who preceded her in death on October 13, 1995.
Marjorie spent many years serving as the first deputy in the Cass County Clerk’s Office.
She was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where her faith was a steady and comforting part of her life. Marjorie was an avid bridge player and belonged to two bridge clubs, where she found friendship, fun, and the friendly competition she loved. Cards were her pastime, but the people around the table were her true delight.
Survived by her son, John Carlson, of Port Clinton, Ohio, grandchildren, Heather (Bob) Snyder and Derek (Irma) Carlson, and several great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Darrell, daughter-in-law, Susan Carlson and brother, John Lewis.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 2 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12 p.m.-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Graveside services will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
